Araceli Ruiz, Sr. Legislative Assistant

Araceli Ruiz brings over 25 years of government experience, having served in key leadership roles across the City of Riverside, County of Riverside, and the Western Riverside Council of Governments. With a background in policy development, community engagement, and government operations, she plays a critical role in advancing initiatives that directly impact District 1 residents.
As the Supervisor's Senior Legislative Assistant, Araceli oversees critical County programs, including Child Support Services, First 5, Flood Control, CID grants, Foster Care and Adoption, and District 1 Boards, Committees, and Commissions. She also serves as the district liaison for the City of Jurupa Valley, K-12 education initiatives, and WRCOG.
Her extensive experience includes managing legislative affairs, supervising community outreach efforts, and leading strategic policy initiatives that enhance public services and government transparency. A dedicated advocate for equitable resources, Araceli continues to drive impactful solutions that support families, businesses, and infrastructure development in Riverside County.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from California Baptist University and is a graduate of the HOPE Leadership Institute. Araceli is also an active community leader, serving on the boards of multiple regional organizations focused on civic engagement, transportation, and environmental education.
